I'm offering sherpa service for the North East Backcountry Discovery Route. It's approximately 1300 miles from Hancock, NY to the Canadian border in New Hampshire. This journey can take 7+ days depending on many riding conditions, mainly weather, and rider stamina. I highly recommend dual sports or smaller ADV bikes if you want to do the hard sections. There are also many alternate routes, and side quest sights that can add to total trip time. We can go as close or far as you like on the BDR and see it all. It's amazingly beautiful and not something you really want to rush through.
For sherpa service, I'm willing to load some of your extra gear on my bike if you run out of space. I can't take too much but little things can make a difference when you're packing this light. I will be carrying a fairly extensive amount of tools, including tubes and everything to change them, and other spare parts depending on what you are riding. I'm offering mechanical support to the best of my ability and given we have to tools and parts for the job. Hopefully we don't have to do any of that, but I'm also offering to help pick bikes up or push them through difficult sections if needed. I'm also here for basic medical with a first aid kit. I have a Garmin SOS device on my person as well, to get us help no matter where we are. I will keep us on route of the NEBDR by map and GPS. You can watch the beauty of the trail instead of staring at your screen. It does get remote but not too crazy, civilization is nearby if needed. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, the adventure has too many possibilities to list them all here. We can customize it any way you like to make it the adventure of a lifetime for you!
Unfortunately, at this time I cannot offer transportation to and from the trail. However, I can help you find a way to do that if you don't plan to ride.
