The Rocky Mountains begin in Colorado Springs and we will start off by driving along Gold Camp Road where you will have multiple stopping points to get out and view the whole city. Then we will come back around and head south about an hour through mountainous, winding roads to Cañon City. We will drive through Cañon City to a couple miles west to link up to Skyline Drive. This route is an incredibly scene 2.6 mile road that follows the top of a razorback ridge overlooking Cañon City. Feel free to look up YouTube videos of people driving the route. It is a little known gem in Colorado that is not to be... overlooked. Along Skyline Drive I will point out dinosaur (ankylosaurus) tracks that were pushed into the mud and 68 million years ago and are now flipped on their side which face the drivers along the route. From here you can follow me back to Colorado Springs or I can suggest places to eat in Cañon City. This tour can be 2-4 hours depending on how long you'd like to spend sightseeing and if you choose to not come back to Colorado Springs. I have two motorcycles available for rent, but you're free to follow me in a car.
