Motorcycle Events Near New York City

There’s no shortage of things to do in New York. Originally settled as early as 1624 by the Dutch, the city is defined by its rich history. Today it’s one of the most socially and economically dynamic spots on Earth. 

If you’re a tourist, there are no shortage of things to see in the Big Apple. The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the World Trade Center, Rockefeller Center, and dozens of other attractions await travelers looking to explore New York.

When you think of the Big Apple, motorcycle culture probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But, there are some great motorcycle events in the area. If you want to rent with Riders Share, there’s one caveat: due to existing insurance legislation we do not operate in New York. We do rent in New Jersey.

The NYC Gotham Riders is a local New York motorcycle riding club that welcomes all riders, motorcycle makes, and models.

In addition to fun group rides, this organization has supported charities in the past including its Next For Autism ride. It was started to help make a difference in the autism community.

Hot Rods & Harleys

Downtown Rahway, New Jersey

“Join 10,000 of your closest friends,” says the organizers at this year’s Hot Rods & Harleys bike event in Rahway, New Jersey. Located in the greater NYC area about 45 minutes from Manhattan via Interstate 95 S. This shindig features live music, a bike show, food, and libations. And with Rahway’s great local restaurants, there’s enough to keep you occupied for the day.

Ride The Wind

New Rochelle, New York

Local Harley dealer Empire Harley-Davidson hosts a variety of events. Join in on the Ride The Wind event. Pull out 1940s aviator wears, and take a ride down memory lane. This ride is inspired by the daring World War II era aviators. Money raised from this event benefits PALS Place / People & Animals Living Safely, a domestic violence shelter.
