Motorcycle Rental in Miami: Every Shop, Price, and License Requirement

image of motorcycle rental in miami

Nine businesses turn up when you search for a motorcycle rental in Miami, and untangling them is the first real task. Two of the names route back to a single company at one address, one lists its whole fleet on a marketplace and books nothing directly, and two more surface in the results without a working rate card between them. Daily rates start at $28 for an owner listing on Riders Share and run to $220 for a premium touring bike, with the fixed-fleet shops landing between $99 and $220. Miami also draws more international riders than any other market in this series, and Florida's license rules for visitors are handled inconsistently from one counter to the next. All figures below were pulled from each operator's public website or booking system on August 4, 2026, for September 2026 availability.

Inventory counts reflect motorcycles available for September 2026 dates as of August 4, 2026, and change daily. EagleRider operates two Miami counters at the same NW 25th Street address, the main EagleRider Miami station and the BMW and Honda counter run as Motortech USA Corp, shown as a sub-row above. Their 11 and 7 models are separate fleets booked through the same EagleRider system, and together with the 6 Fort Lauderdale models they make up the 24 rentals EagleRider returns for a Miami search. EagleRider and EagleShare are both part of EagleRider Holdings, so EagleShare's Miami inventory includes the same 18 EagleRider models that appear on EagleRider's own site, and the EagleShare figure of 79 above excludes those to avoid double counting. EagleRider, EagleRider Miami BMW and Honda, and Miami Motorcycle Rentals figures are model counts rather than individual unit counts. Riders Share, EagleShare, and Twisted Road figures are live marketplace listing counts.

Miami Motorcycle Rentals prices by model rather than by class. Its Harley-Davidson landing page advertises rates from $52 per day, while the lowest Harley-Davidson on its own fleet page is a Sportster XL 883C at $69.99 and the lowest motorcycle of any brand above 50cc is a Suzuki TU250X at $59.99. The $29.99 floor in the range above applies to 49cc and 50cc scooters, which do not require a motorcycle endorsement in Florida.

BCG Powersports Rentals lists its fleet on Riders Share. Its motorcycles are counted once, inside the Riders Share marketplace total, rather than added again in its own row. The company still holds a separate storefront address and Google Business Profile and surfaces in Miami rental searches as an independent shop, so it appears above on that basis.

EagleRider's Miami search results also return six Harley-Davidson models at its Fort Lauderdale station, priced $199 to $329. Those sit in Broward County and are excluded from the counts above.

Nine businesses that surface in Miami motorcycle rental searches are excluded from the chart. Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami at 19400 NW 2nd Avenue and Peterson's Harley-Davidson South at 19825 South Dixie Highway sell and service motorcycles and publish no rental program. MasMotoSports on NW 79th Avenue rents ATVs and powersports vehicles rather than street motorcycles. Patagonia Motorcycles in North Miami Beach sells used motorcycles and publishes no rental rates. Slingshots 305, MIA Slingshots, and Baker Motor Trike Rentals rent three-wheel vehicles only. DaMonkey MotoRentals, Falcon Motorcycle Rental, and American MotorSports serve South Florida but operate from Palm Beach and Broward counties rather than Miami-Dade.

Miami also supports a large 50cc scooter rental market that competes for the same visitor searches, including Miami Beach Scooter Rental and Beach Scooter Rental on Bay Road, Scooter Styles, Scooters South Beach, and Miami Scooter Rentals. Florida does not require a motorcycle endorsement for vehicles under 50cc, so those rentals are open to riders holding a standard driver's license and are excluded from the motorcycle counts above.

Florida does not require helmets for riders 21 and older who carry at least $10,000 in medical benefits coverage, but eye protection is required for every rider regardless of age. Riders Share requires a helmet on every rental as a platform policy, and Miami Motorcycle Rentals requires a DOT-approved helmet for rider and passenger under its own terms.

Where can I rent a motorcycle in Miami?

Miami supports two kinds of rental operation, and the split matters more than the daily rate.

Fixed-fleet shops hold their own inventory and publish rate cards. EagleRider on NW 25th Street, Miami Motorcycle Rentals on NW 7th Avenue, and the BMW and Honda counter at the same EagleRider address all work this way. You know the price before you search, and the inventory is whatever the shop owns.

Peer-to-peer marketplaces list motorcycles from private owners, with each owner setting the rate, the mileage terms, and the gear. Riders Share, Twisted Road, and EagleShare operate this way in Miami. Rates span a wider range because the inventory does.

Riders Share holds the largest count in the market. The platform's own Miami page states that available inventory ranges from 130 to more than 175 motorcycles depending on demand, across 15 or more filterable brands including Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Yamaha, BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Triumph, Indian, and Suzuki, so it covers categories the fixed-fleet shops do not stock at all. Delivery is available on many listings, which puts a bike at a hotel in South Beach or Brickell instead of sending a visitor to a warehouse block near the airport. Riders working the wider metro can compare motorcycle rentals in Miami from Coral Gables and Little Havana out to Homestead and Doral rather than working from a single counter.

Two independent shops don't run their own booking at all. BCG Powersports Rentals on NW 55th Street lists its Ducati, BMW, and Harley-Davidson fleet on Riders Share, and its own domain now redirects to its owner profile there. Lux Moto Rentals in Wynwood still holds a storefront and a business listing, but its website no longer resolves to a working rental site. Both surface in a search as standalone Miami companies, which is where a rider comparing names can lose the thread.

Geography favors the visitor here. Most of the fixed shops cluster in the warehouse district around Miami International Airport, while owner listings sit where the riding is, close to Ocean Drive, the causeways, and the run south toward the Keys. If you want a motorcycle rental in South Beach rather than a trip out to an industrial park, delivery is the field to check before you book.

Why Miami rental listings are often out of date

Before comparing anything, a caution about what a search returns in this market. Several of the operator names that surface in directories, review sites, and aggregator pages for a Miami motorcycle rental are either inactive or route to a different company than the name suggests. That is the single most common reason a rider calls a number and gets nowhere.

EagleRider is the clearest example. A Miami search returns what look like separate operators, EagleRider Miami and a BMW and Honda counter, but both run from the same unit at 7500 NW 25th Street, the second trading as Motortech USA Corp. EagleShare compounds it. EagleShare is a marketplace operated by EagleRider Holdings, and its Miami inventory includes the same models that appear on EagleRider's own site. A rider comparing three of these names is comparing one company three ways.

The search radius adds its own noise. EagleRider's Miami results also surface six Harley-Davidson models priced $199 to $329 that actually sit at its Fort Lauderdale station in Broward County, an hour up the coast in traffic. Twisted Road and EagleShare, like every marketplace, mix owner listings from across the metro into a single Miami view.

None of this is hidden. Each company discloses it on its own website. It just does not survive the trip into third-party directory listings, which is why the chart above works from operator sources and carries a verification date. Check the date on any comparison you read, including this one, and confirm terms with the operator before you book.

How much is motorcycle rental in Miami?

The lowest published rate in the Miami market is $28 per day for an owner listing on Riders Share, where individual owners set their own prices. Sport bikes on the platform typically run $50 to $100 and Harley-Davidson models $80 to $150. Among operators with fixed rate cards, Miami Motorcycle Rentals opens at $59.99 for a motorcycle above 50cc, the BMW and Honda counter at EagleRider opens at $99, and EagleRider's main Miami fleet opens at $121.

Base rate alone will not tell you what a rental costs. Miami Motorcycle Rentals prices by model, and its Harley-Davidson landing page advertises rates from $52, but the lowest Harley actually on its fleet page is a Sportster XL 883C at $69.99, and its listings carry a 150-mile daily cap with $0.25 charged per mile over, no gear in the base rate, and a $150 damage fee applied to any loss regardless of fault. EagleRider authorizes $1,000 to $3,000 at pickup on a card, rising to as much as $5,000 for a rider using their own insurance. On Riders Share the deposit is waived entirely for riders who submit a comprehensive and collision declarations page from a personal policy, most listings run unlimited mileage, and gear comes free.

Read the deposit, the mileage cap, the overage rate, and the gear line together before comparing prices across operators. A low daily rate paired with a tight cap and a gear charge can total more than a higher rate with unlimited miles and free gear, especially on a route like the run down to Key Largo and back, which clears 120 miles before any detours.

How much does it cost to rent a Harley in Miami?

Harley-Davidson rentals in Miami run from about $70 to $245 per day depending on the operator and the model.

On Riders Share, Harley-Davidson models typically sit in the $80 to $150 band, set by the individual owner. Miami Motorcycle Rentals lists a Sportster XL 883C at $69.99, the lowest fixed-fleet Harley in the market, and prices the rest of its Harley lineup up the range from there. EagleRider prices its Miami Harley fleet by model, and its published range for the market tops out at $220, with the six Fort Lauderdale Harley models climbing to $329.

Owner listings on the platform cover the same model families at owner-set rates. Browse Harley-Davidson rentals to compare specific models and pickup locations.

Can tourists rent a motorcycle in Florida?

Yes, and Miami handles more international riders than any market in this series, but the paperwork rules are applied unevenly from one counter to the next, so it pays to know the baseline before you arrive.

Florida requires a motorcycle endorsement to ride on public roads, and that requirement applies to residents, out-of-state visitors, and international travelers alike. For a rider visiting from another country, Florida recognizes a valid foreign driver's license that carries a motorcycle classification. An International Driving Permit is a certified translation of that home-country license, not a license in its own right, so it is useful alongside a foreign license written in another language but does not replace the underlying motorcycle entitlement. A rider whose home license does not cover motorcycles cannot create that entitlement with an IDP.

Operators handle this differently. Riders Share accepts foreign motorcycle licenses and states the requirement plainly. Miami Motorcycle Rentals accepts a valid motorcycle license from any state or country for anything above 50cc and does not accept temporary permits. Twisted Road requires non-US license holders to be at least 25. Confirm which document a specific operator will accept before you fly, because a rider who arrives with the wrong paperwork does not ride. Riders planning a longer route can compare motorcycle rentals across Florida to find a pickup point that fits the trip.

Do you need a motorcycle endorsement in Florida?

Florida requires either a Motorcycle Only license or a motorcycle endorsement added to a standard driver's license before you can operate a two-wheel motorcycle, and every motorcycle rental operator in Miami requires one before releasing a bike. Out-of-state licenses are accepted when they carry the endorsement, and foreign licenses are accepted when they carry a motorcycle classification.

Twenty-one is the standard minimum age across the market. EagleRider, Miami Motorcycle Rentals, Riders Share, and Twisted Road all set 21 as the floor, and no operator here publishes a pathway for riders under 21. Miami Motorcycle Rentals applies the same minimum to passengers.

Experience requirements layer on top of age. Riders Share limits riders holding temporary licenses to bikes filtered as Easy Rides, and individual owners can set 25 as their own minimum on a listing, which some premium and high-performance listings do. Twisted Road requires an endorsement held at least six months, documents riding history in the rider profile, and requires non-US license holders to be at least 25.

One vehicle class sits outside the endorsement rule. Florida does not require a motorcycle endorsement for a scooter or moped of 50cc or under, which a standard driver's license covers. That is the segment the South Beach scooter shops compete in, and it is why a 50cc rental advertised at $29.99 is not comparable to an endorsed motorcycle rental, since it is a different vehicle under a different rule.

Do Miami motorcycle rentals include gear?

Gear handling splits the market cleanly. Riders Share includes free gear across its listings, with helmets, jackets, gloves, and boots in sizes S through XXL depending on the bike rented. EagleRider includes helmets in the daily rate at both of its Miami counters. On Twisted Road and EagleShare, gear comes from the individual owner rather than a central inventory, so it appears on each motorcycle listing.

Miami Motorcycle Rentals is the exception among the shops. Nothing is included in the base rate. A helmet rents for $15 per day, a leather jacket for $25, gloves for $5, and a phone mount for $5, and the operator still requires a DOT-approved helmet for rider and passenger under its own terms.

Florida's helmet law is the twist that catches visitors. The state does not require a helmet for riders 21 and older who carry at least $10,000 in medical benefits coverage, which is why you will see riders in Miami without one. Eye protection, though, is required for every rider regardless of age. Riders Share requires a helmet on every rental as a platform policy no matter what Florida law allows, so gear on that platform is not the optional line it is elsewhere in the state. Miami heat also shifts the calculation toward ventilated gear over rain gear from roughly May through October.

Mileage caps and what unlimited actually covers

Riders Share includes unlimited mileage on most listings, with certain bikes carrying limits and overage rates set by the owner. Twisted Road states that almost all rentals include unlimited miles, with any limits disclosed in the individual listing.

Two operators are tighter. Miami Motorcycle Rentals runs a 150-mile daily cap on the listings reviewed, with $0.25 charged per mile over. EagleRider offers unlimited mileage on select models only, a qualifier that appears in the rental terms rather than at the top of the booking flow, and does not publish a per-mile rate on the capped models.

That gap matters here because the rides people rent for run long. The loop down to Key Largo and back clears 120 miles, a full run to Key West passes 300 in a single day, and an Everglades and Tamiami Trail circuit clears 150. A 150-mile cap is gone before lunch on any of them. If you are planning distance out of EagleRider or Miami Motorcycle Rentals, confirm by phone whether your specific model carries a cap and what the overage costs before you book.

Hours and pickup logistics

Riders Share offers the widest pickup window in the market, 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, with the exact time arranged with the owner, and customer service runs 24/7, which covers a late flight into Miami International that a fixed-hour shop cannot. Delivery on many listings means the bike can meet you rather than the other way around.

Fixed-hour operators need more planning. EagleRider's main Miami counter runs limited days, with its Google Business Profile showing closures midweek, so a Tuesday or Wednesday pickup can be off the table. Miami Motorcycle Rentals runs 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily but charges a $50 late fee after a 30-minute grace window. Blanco Cycles in North Miami and BCG Powersports keep their own storefront hours, and neither publishes rental terms on a working rate card.

Riders flying into Miami International should confirm pickup or delivery before booking, since most of the fixed shops sit in the warehouse district west of the terminal and the good riding is east and south of it.
