Napa SR-128

Distance: 38 miles

This 38-mile route between Rutherford and Winters offers views of canyons, forests, and a lake, along with winding roads. It can take about an hour to complete without stops, but you may want to pull over to take photos. Traffic can be busy on weekends due to winery tourists.

At the summit, approximately 3,800 feet above sea level, you're rewarded with sweeping panoramic San Francisco Bay Area views. Descend along Summit Road, transitioning onto South Gate Road, which leads you towards the journey’s end near the intersection with Mount Diablo Scenic Boulevard.
