You’ve cleared your schedule, packed your gear, and now you’re just waiting for that first wave of engine noise to kick off the summer. There’s something about rolling into a rally that feels different from any other ride. The sound of bikes pulling in from all directions, the steady hum of conversation over coffee or barbecue, and that unspoken understanding between riders all come together in a way that’s hard to explain but easy to appreciate. H.O.G. rallies give you a place to show up, ride your bike, and spend time with people who just get it. Below, we’ve rounded up some of the top H.O.G. rallies happening across the country this summer to help you figure out where to head next.
What’s a H.O.G. Rally?
A H.O.G. rally is an official event created for members of the Harley Owners Group, giving riders a reason to travel, meet up, and stay connected to the community. These rallies have been around since the 1980s, shortly after Harley-Davidson launched H.O.G. as a way to strengthen the bond between the brand and its riders.
How Are H.O.G. Rallies Different from Other Motorcycle Events?
Harley Davidson rallies are unique because they focus more on the rider experience than on spectacle, offering a structured format built around guided rides, planned itineraries, and community connection rather than large-scale entertainment or vendor-heavy layouts. These rallies prioritize riding, local discovery, and time spent with fellow H.O.G. members over concerts or commercial displays, which sets them apart from more general motorcycle festivals or public events.
Because they’re limited to H.O.G. members, the environment feels more familiar and community-driven, with a shared respect for Harley-Davidson’s history and the kind of riding it represents. Instead of wandering through a crowded fairground, riders are checking in at welcome centers, meeting up for chapter-led rides, and participating in events that are built around the bike, the brand, and the people who ride them.
Summer 2025 H.O.G. Rallies
Below is a closer look at the H.O.G. rallies happening across the country this summer, including dates, locations, and what you can expect at each one.
1. Roaming the Black Hills H.O.G. Touring Rally

Dates: June 4–9, 2025
Ride: Cody, WY to Deadwood, SD
This touring rally starts in Cody, Wyoming and takes riders on a scenic route through some of the most well-known parts of the region. The ride ends in Deadwood, South Dakota, and gives participants several days to experience beautiful roads, historic towns, and planned stops along the way. It’s a structured, all-inclusive rally with limited spots available, so early registration is recommended if you want to take part in this one.
2. Mid-America H.O.G. Rally
Dates: June 5–7, 2025
Ride: Springfield, MO
This rally takes you to Springfield, Missouri, the official birthplace of Route 66 and a city with deep roots in riding culture. You’ll get the chance to explore the Ozarks, where the roads are packed with curves, elevation changes, and views that make the ride just as fun as the destination. It’s a great spot for riders who enjoy routes with a little character and towns with a strong sense of history. With group rides, local highlights, and plenty of opportunities to connect with other members, this rally blends classic road culture with everything that makes H.O.G. events worth showing up for.
3. Appalachian Thunder H.O.G. Rally

Dates: June 25–28, 2025
Ride: Cumberland, MD
Riders heading to Cumberland for the Appalachian Thunder Rally can expect a route filled with history, scenic roads, and a few unique stops along the way. The area sits along what was once the country’s first interstate, making it a great place to ride through centuries of American stories. You’ll also have the chance to check out the 1309 steam engine, one of the largest still in operation, and visit the Flight 93 Memorial to reflect and pay your respects. Routes will take you through parts of Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, giving you a chance to cover a lot of ground while riding with purpose.
4. Great Lakes H.O.G. Rally
Dates: June 26–28, 2025
Ride: Marquette, MI
Marquette gives riders access to some of the best roads in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, with Lake Superior right alongside the city and long stretches of two-lane highway heading north. One of the most talked-about routes during this rally is the ride to Copper Harbor, which offers a full day of smooth riding with views, quiet towns, and spots to stop along the way. The area is built for riders who want time on the road without a lot of traffic, and this rally gives you a chance to experience it with a full group and a plan already in place.
5. Pacific NW H.O.G. Rally

Dates: July 17–19, 2025
Ride: Spokane, WA
Spokane is a great starting point for riding through Eastern Washington, where the roads can take you along rivers, through farmland, and up into mountain stretches that keep the ride interesting. Depending on your route, you’ll pass through places like Lewiston and Ritzville, each offering their own local stops and small-town feel. The area gives you plenty of room to ride during the day while still having everything you need back in Spokane to relax, meet up with other members, and plan the next leg of your trip.
6. Valley to the Mountains H.O.G. Rally
Dates: August 14–16, 2025
Ride: Monticello, NY
Monticello puts you in a great spot to ride through both the Hudson Valley and the Catskills, with routes that give you a good balance of curves, views, and places to stop along the way. Riders will pass by reservoirs like Pepacton, Neversink, and Ashokan, and there’s a chance to visit landmarks like the Zane Grey Museum or Bethel Woods, where Woodstock was held in 1969. The route through Hawks Nest is a favorite for its tight turns and views over the Delaware River, making it one of the more memorable sections of the ride.

How to Join in On This Year’s H.O.G Rallies

To take part in this year’s H.O.G. rallies, you’ll need to be an active member of the Harley Owners Group, which starts with owning a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Once you’ve got your bike, signing up for H.O.G. is quick through the Harley-Davidson website, and membership gives you access to official events, ride info, and rally registration links throughout the year.
Most rallies require advance registration, and since many are exclusive to H.O.G. members, your active status will need to be confirmed before you can attend. You can also join a local chapter after becoming a national member, which makes it easier to stay in the loop about upcoming rallies, regional rides, and meetups near you. If you’re already riding a Harley and haven’t joined yet, now’s a good time to get started so you don’t miss out on the summer schedule.
