When Is the Lone Star Rally 2025?

Lone Star Rally Dates: November 6-9, 2025

The Lone Star Rally has always been tied to early November, giving riders a chance to close out the season along the Gulf Coast. The tradition started back in 2001, when the first rally brought people together in Galveston’s historic downtown. Since then, the same fall timing has stuck, and many riders plan for it year after year knowing the weather is cooler and the island has the perfect backdrop for a long weekend.

Where is the Lone Star Rally Held?

Lone Star Rally Location: 201 Nineteenth St, Galveston, TX 77550 (entry to The Strand)

Most of the rally takes place right on The Strand, a stretch of Galveston that turns into rows of bikes, vendors, and live music stages throughout the weekend. It’s a spot with a lot of history, but during the rally it feels more like one big block party by the water. Events also spread out to Seawall Boulevard, giving riders a chance to take in the coastline while moving between shows and vendors. The maps below give you a clear view of how the rally is set up and where the main action happens.

Is the Lone Star Rally Free?

Yes, the Lone Star Rally is free to attend. You can walk through The Strand, check out the vendors, and take in the atmosphere without spending a dime on admission. Concerts, bike shows, and the general street festivities are open to everyone, which is a big part of why the rally attracts so many visitors each year. For those who want to level up the experience, there are V.I.P. packages available that give you access to private balconies, catered food, and special concert viewing areas.

V.I.P Packages

All Access Platinum: $225. The Platinum pass covers all four days of the rally and gives you front-row balcony access at four different venues along The Strand. Each spot has its own perks, from catered food and shaded seating to private lounges and views of the main stages. The pass also includes entry to the Seawall Concert Series with its own VIP zone, plus extras like a commemorative T-shirt, drink tickets, and a swag bag.

All Rally Access Pass: $195. This four-day pass gets you into three prime venues with balcony views overlooking the action on The Strand. You’ll also have access to air-conditioned seating, food and drinks at select times, and some of the best vantage points for music and shows throughout the weekend.

One Day V.I.P Pass: $85. If you only plan to attend for a single day, this pass gives you the same balcony access to three venues as the All Rally option but for one day only. It’s a good way to enjoy the VIP experience without committing to the full weekend.

Seawall Concert Series Pass: $35 (Day), $75 (All Access). These passes put you right up front for the Seawall concerts with a dedicated viewing area, private bar, and VIP restrooms. You can grab a single-day pass if there’s one show you don’t want to miss or go for the all-access option to cover every concert from Thursday through Saturday.

V.I.P Pass Pickup Locations

If you’ve purchased a V.I.P. pass, your first stop will be check-in to pick up everything that comes with it. The main location is the Buccaneer Room at The Limited Trolley Station on the corner of 21st and Strand Street. That’s where you’ll get your wristband, shirt, and swag bag before heading out to enjoy the weekend. You can also check in at the Roof Garden at 2214 Strand Street, which is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The Buccaneer Room doesn’t have elevator access, so if you need it the Roof Garden is the better choice. If you bought a Seawall Concert Series pass, you’ll pick up your wristband at Beach Central Park near the Progressive Stage on Seawall Boulevard. One more thing to keep in mind is that all V.I.P. areas are 21 and over, so kids and infants are not allowed at pickup or inside the venues.

2025 Lone Star Rally Event Schedule

So, what actually happens during Lone Star Rally weekend? Beyond the crowds, concerts, and bikes lining the streets, the schedule is packed with contests, rides, and shows that give everyone something to look forward to. Here’s a look at some of the main events for 2025:

  • The Cycle Source Ride in Custom Bike Show: Saturday at Beach Central on the Seawall. Builders bring out everything from antiques to radical baggers, and the judging covers dozens of categories. The top prize includes $500 and a feature in Cycle Source Magazine, which makes this one of the biggest shows of the weekend.
  • Rodeo Games: Friday afternoon at Beach Central. Riders take part in fun challenges like the slow race, weenie bite, barrel roll, and ring toss. It’s lighthearted but competitive, and the winner walks away with a championship belt.
  • Drive In Car Show: Saturday and Sunday at Pier 21. Pre-1985 hot rods, muscle cars, sleds, and rat rods line the waterfront while live music sets the tone. Awards are given out each afternoon, but the show itself is worth it for anyone who loves classic cars.
  • Tattoo Contest: Friday night at Saengerfest Park. The Miller Lite Stage becomes the spotlight for some impressive ink, with categories for best color, best black and grey, and best overall. The contest kicks off at 9:30 p.m., and it always brings in a crazy crowd.
  • Miss Lone Star Contest: Hosted by Outlaw Dave Productions and Glitz Dolls, this contest has qualifying rounds leading into the finals during the weekend. It’s become one of the signature stage events of the rally and always keeps the audience engaged.
  • Sound Competition: Friday afternoon with Badd Azz Bikes hosting. Riders compete in weight-class categories to see whose audio system is the loudest and clearest.
  • Outlaw Dave Ranch Ride: Saturday morning parade starting at Pleasure Pier and riding down the Seawall before finishing on The Strand. It’s open to all riders with a $20 donation that includes a shirt, and proceeds go toward the Marine Corps League.

From morning contests to late-night concerts, this year’s schedule has something happening around the clock. And if shopping is a bigger part of your rally weekend, the vendor scene is massive. You can check out the official website for the most up-to-date vendor information and a full rundown of event details.
