Best Motorcycle Events and Meetups Around Miami, Florida

Dec 19, 2023

Victory motorcycle ridden in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The Panhandle State boasts so many stunning natural wonders, which makes it a mecca for motorcycling. Between Daytona’s infamous Bike Week and the Leesburg Bikefest, Florida welcomes hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts every year to its shores.

Plus, with so many amazing motorcycle trips outside Miami and other popular destinations, it’s no wonder Florida boasts the second-highest population of motorcycle riders in the US.

1. Daytona Bike Week in Daytona, FL

March 1-10, 2024

Daytona Bike Week features one of the largest motorcycle gatherings in the world, drawing 100,000s of bikers across the country. Escape from the dreary winter frosts and jump headlong into spring!

During Daytona Bike Week, you can experience all the fun the city has to offer: wet T-shirt contests, bike shows, vendors, bike games—you name it, Daytona Beach has got it. Take full advantage of the Floridian sun, and don’t miss out on the boardwalk games, arcades, and bikini contests. There’s simply no excuse not to find a motorcycle and make it to the 79th Annual Daytona Bike Week.

2. Leesburg Bikefest in Leesburg, FL

April 26-28, 2024

The Leesburg Bikefest claims to be the largest three-day motorcycle event in the world, and it’s hard to doubt that figure. Over 250,000 attendees attend each year, with headliners for the three-day weekend including acts like Buckcherry, Warrant, and Whey Jennings.

Leesburg offers a great 270-mile scenic route from Miami, traveling up the coast and then just past Orlando. You won’t have to worry about where to park either; there are plenty of parking lots to leave your motorcycle, and Bikefest shuttle services will be operating from early in the morning to late at night to pick you up and drop you off at locations throughout Lake County for $1.

The Bikefest features more than 200 vendors, 60 concerts, six hot body contests, and plenty of stunts and bike shows, not to mention fun poker runs. Famous bands like Fuel, Queensryche, and Pure Prairie League have also headlined in the past.

3. Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach, FL

October 17-20, 2024

The only thing better than Oktoberfest is Biketoberfest in Daytona. Just 260 miles up the coast from Miami, Daytona Beach’s Main Street throws one of the biggest motorcycle events in the nation. Biketoberfest beckons to the “full-throttle lifestyle born on two wheels.” This means enjoying live music, vendors, rides along the famous A1A, bike shows, and even motorcycle racing at Daytona International Speedway, the world’s only motorsports stadium.

But if you feel like you’re in need of some real motorcycle riding in Florida, there are plenty of tours available during this county-wide event. Check out the Old City Rendezvous (Daytona Beach to St. Augustine); the River to River Tour (Halifax River to St. John’s River); the Steel Horse Scoot (Daytona Beach to DeLand); the Lighthouse Tour (Lighthouse to Turtle Mound); and The Loop.

This year, Biketoberfest expects more than 125,000 motorcycle enthusiasts. If you’re already set to fly to Miami, why not make the trek to this unforgettable October outing on a motorcycle?

4. SFPC Toys in the Sun Run in Pompano Beach, FL

Last held December 10, 2023 - Usually the First Saturday or Sunday of December!

The 35th Annual South Florida President’s Council (SFPC) Toys in the Sun Run bills itself as the world’s largest motorcycle parade. Pompano Beach is a mere 40 miles away, and a great place to meet fellow riders.

On any given year, the Sun Run sees 10,000s of motorcyclists, and double that amount of people take part in the parade. Don’t get left out! After grabbing a motorcycle, you’ll be able to enjoy non-stop live music from two stages, including last year’s headliner, Bret Michaels.

Other activities include a massive motorcycle show, over 100 vendors, and an international food court, and ice-cold drinks. And if this isn’t enough for you, you can also check out an open car and truck show dubbed South Florida’s “Most Unique Winter Car Show.”

Admission is $20 with an unwrapped toy and $30 without, although VIP tickets will be offered to those who want to be at the front of the parade.

Best of all, the proceeds raised from this parade will go directly to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation in Hollywood, Florida. The Sun Run has already raised $4 million. There’s no reason not to rent a motorcycle in Miami and make the short ride to Pompano Beach for this charitable and festive event.

NOTE: The entry fee is $20 per person if you bring an unwrapped toy and $30 without an unwrapped toy. VIP tickets are available for anyone who would like to purchase in advance.

5. Monthly Bike Night in Leesburg, FL

Second Thursday of Every Month

If three days at the Leesburg Bikefest simply aren’t enough to quench your motorcycle mania, then never fear—local bikers in Leesburg meet once a month downtown to talk shop, drink beers, and listen to live music at the Great Chicago Fire Brewery & Tap Room.

Touch down in Miami at the beginning of any month and make the 270-mile to Leesburg bikers’ favorite pizzeria. Once there, you’ll find authentic Chicago-style pizzas and a beer, wine, and liquor happy hour from 4 to 7 pm.

Downtown Leesburg Bike Night runs from 5 to 9 pm and is sponsored by Gator Harley-Davidson in Leesburg. Still, even if your motorcycle rental isn’t a Harley, you’re more than welcome to share a few cold ones with Leesburg’s resident enthusiasts. You may want to spend the night in a hotel since it is a relatively long trip.

There’s no shortage of yearly and monthly motorcycle events in Florida that you can reach if you grab a motorcycle rental while visiting Miami. Miami isn’t the only city to see—famous motorcycle hubs such as Leesburg and Daytona Beach are a short day-trip ride away.
