Whether you’re a total beginner who’s never left pavement or an experienced rider looking for new lines, this is a no-pressure, personalized off-road adventure on Central Oregon’s best dirt. I lead every ride myself, matching pace, route, and coaching to your exact skill level and comfort.
**Typical ride flow**
- Meet at the Adventure MOB shop in Bend (or trailhead for full-day trips)
- Quick bike familiarization & gear check (we supply full protection if needed)
- 5-10 min warm-up on easy gravel to dial in clutch/brake feel
- Head out – never more than 6 riders per guide
**Terrain & trails we use** (all within 20–70 min of Bend)
- Millican Plateau OHV – flowing high-desert single-track, volcanic whoops, pine forest pockets
- East Fort Rock OHV Trail System – 318+ miles of marked trails from smooth forest roads to sandy climbs and rocky hillclimbs
- China Hat / Cinder Cone area – pumice moonscape, twisty ponderosa single-track, epic 360° views of the Cascades
- Cline Buttes & Maston – high-speed desert two-track, fun jumps, beginner-friendly loops
- Occasional USFS roads & lesser-known public-land connectors (all legal, plated bikes when required)
**What you’ll see & feel**
Broken-topped volcanoes (Three Sisters, Broken Top, Mt. Bachelor) dominating every horizon, wide-open juniper & sage high desert, lava rock gardens, pine-scented forests, and zero crowds mid-week. Expect red cinder dust, big sky sunrises/sunsets, possible elk or antelope sightings, and that perfect mix of adrenaline and peace only Central Oregon single-track delivers.
**Skill-level specifics**
- Never ridden dirt? We start on wide forest roads, practice clutch & body position, then progress only as fast as you want.
- Intermediate? Fast flowing single-track, optional hillclimbs, play areas.
- Advanced? I’ll show you the steep, techy, or fast lines you came for.
All rides end with cold drinks back at the shop (or at the trailhead), photos sent to you, and honest feedback if you want to improve.
Duration options: 2 hr taster, half-day (3–4 hr), or full-day epic (5–6 hr + lunch stop).
