The V-strom 650xt is the best bike nobody likes. 70hp moves the 470lb bike to 60 in 4 seconds, just like the legendary SV650 it's based on. The V twin engine is smooth and torquey, and on the road the bike hasn't forgotten its sportbike roots. Take it up a fire road and you'll see that the longer suspension travel and higher ground clearance are more than enough to breeze past that $70,000 Tacoma overlander rig. With a neutral riding position and an unusually smooth engine, you'll enjoy every bit of the 250+ mile range. Why isn't it more popular? The first generation was ugly. Mine has taken me and a lot of renters all across the country and is as reliable as the day it rolled off the lot. Rent it and add your story!
