OFF-ROAD USE POLICY — PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
This Suzuki DR-Z400S is approved for Full Off-Road use through Riders Share, subject to Riders Share’s Off-Road Waiver and terms.
Off-road riding is limited to legal OHV trails, dirt roads, forest-service roads, and terrain appropriate for this motorcycle.
NOT PERMITTED:
Motocross tracks
Jumps or stunts
Racing
Sand dunes or deep sand
Private property without permission
Reckless or abusive riding
Terrain beyond the motorcycle’s intended use
Any unpaved riding, including dirt roads or trails such as the Apache Trail, requires selecting the Off-Road option when booking.
RENTER RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE
Damage during the rental may result in charges to restore the motorcycle to its pre-rental condition, subject to Riders Share’s terms and claims process.
For damage beyond normal wear, the renter may be responsible for:
Actual replacement cost of OEM Suzuki or equivalent-quality parts
Professional shop labor at the actual billed rate
Diagnosis and inspection fees
Required repair materials and hardware
Removal, installation, adjustment, alignment, and testing labor
If a damaged part cannot reasonably or safely be repaired, it may be replaced.
Charges are not limited to a predetermined dollar amount when actual reasonable costs are higher.
CHARGEABLE DAMAGE MAY INCLUDE:
Cracked/broken plastics, fenders, side panels, or headlight shrouds
Broken mounts or brackets
Bent handlebars, levers, mirrors, foot controls, or foot pegs
Damaged throttle or switch assemblies
Bent/dented rims, spokes, bearings, chain guides, sprockets, or drivetrain parts
Bent forks or damaged suspension
Cracked engine covers or engine cases
Damaged radiator or cooling components
Frame or subframe damage
Crash, impact, abuse, or improper-operation damage
Charge: Actual repair or replacement cost plus applicable shop labor, diagnosis, and materials.
NORMAL OFF-ROAD WEAR
Reasonable dust, dirt, and minor cosmetic trail marks are expected.
Crash damage, broken parts, significant dents, deep gouges, bent components, structural damage, or damage affecting safety or function are not normal wear, subject to Riders Share’s policies.
NEGLIGENCE AND ABUSE
Damage from reckless riding, prohibited terrain, jumps, stunts, racing, improper operation, ignoring owner instructions, or continuing to ride after a warning, leak, major impact, overheating, or mechanical problem may result in renter responsibility.
CLEANING
Excessive mud, clay, sand, or debris requiring substantial cleaning may result in a $25–$60 cleaning charge, subject to Riders Share’s policies.
BEFORE AND AFTER INSPECTION
The motorcycle will be photographed at check-in and check-out.
New damage will be documented with photos, parts pricing, estimates, invoices, receipts, or shop findings.
Damage beyond normal authorized use must be properly repaired so the motorcycle is returned to its pre-rental condition.
