Welcome to Riders Share. Safety is the number one priority and we want you to have a safe and pleasurable motorcycle rental experience. Learn more in the How to Rent a Motorcycle Safely and How to Rent a Motorcycle in California articles. Here are some safety precautions we can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne infectious diseases.

  1. Contactless Key Exchange and Pick-Up. You may contact owners in advance to arrange a vehicle key exchange at a safe distance or if offered by the owner, remote access via a lockbox. On Riders Share, you are required to inspect and take photos of the motorcycle to document its condition (tires, scratches, damage, etc.) before and after each ride. We recommend the renter and owner wear a face mask or covering while maintaining a distance of at least six-feet from each other during the process.

  1. No need to go indoors. Unlike renting from a motorcycle rental shop, there most likely will not be other renters present and payment is online; so you can gain access to your motorcycle rental without having to go indoors or come in contact with more people than necessary.

  1. Gear Rentals. We recommend you wear clean motorcycle riding gear for optimum fit and to reduce the potential surface transmission of COVID-19. Understandably, many motorcycle owners are reluctant to share safety and protective gear. If you need gear, our motorcycle gear rental partner, VKTRE can provide a brand new helmet for rent. It has strict cleaning procedures after each rental. Alternatively, you can simply purchase a new helmet that fits you perfectly online.

  1. Flexible Cancellations. As described in our Return and Cancellation Policy, we have a very flexible cancellation policy. Furthermore, if your trip is cancelled last minute due to a city imposing a quarantine or other COVID-19 related policies impacting travel, we'd be happy to help you reschedule or refund your trip.
