Mecum, the world’s largest auction of unique, antique, and vintage cars and motorcycles, is hosting their motorcycle auction in Monterey, California. It’s about 2.5 hours south from San Francisco. 2. The 2023 Range of Light Gypsy Tour

Three and a half hours northeast of San Francisco is the annual Labor Day riding rally, the Range of Light Gypsy Tour. Unlike most rallies, the Range of Light Tour is a multi-day event for true riding fans. This event showcases the best scenery in the area. The rides are about 300 miles each day so be ready for some serious saddle time.

Wondering where the destinations will be? You’ll just have to wait until the day before the event to find out--it’s a closely kept secret. Here are just a few things you can expect on this unbelievable ride: four nights of grassy camping, hot showers, catered dinners, cold drinks, a Poker Run with cash prizes, rally shirts and cool biker swag.

Even though the event is hosted by BMW NorCal, all bikes and riders are welcome to ride. Just make sure your bike is street-legal, registered and insured.

3. Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride San Jose
