Purchasing gift cards

Riders Share gift cards can be purchased online at https://www.riders-share.com/gift-cards in amounts from $10 to $9,999. Gift cards can only be redeemed for services within the United States. Gift cards are void where prohibited by law.

Redeeming gift cards

To redeem a gift card, you must have a valid Riders Share account. To add the funds from the card balance to your account travel credits:

1.     Go to Riders Share https://www.riders-share.com/gift-cards/redeem

2.     Enter the 17-character gift card code

3.     Click or tap Redeem button

Once a gift card has been added to your Riders Share account, the funds will remain valid for 5 years from date of purchase, after which any remaining balance may expire except when prohibited by applicable state law. Gift card funds can be used to pay for any booking made on Riders Share. When you redeem the gift card, the balance from the gift card will be added to your account travel credits then automatically applied to your next booking.

Checking the balance

To check your travel credit balance: (1) log in to your Riders Share account, (2) navigate to "Referrals and Credits" in the sidebar, and (3) view your balance under the "Credits" tab. Your travel credits, including any gift card balances, will be displayed there. You will see the funds from the Gift Card added to your total travel credits.

Terms and Conditions

Coupon and discount codes cannot be applied to the purchase of a Riders Share gift card. Except as required by applicable law, Riders Share gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be transferred, exchanged or resold and cannot be redeemed for cash. Some states may require cash redemption of small balances under certain circumstances. You can only use Riders Share gift cards on the Riders Share platform to add to a user’s travel credits.

Redemption

Riders Share gift cards may only be redeemed toward the purchase of eligible goods and services provided by Riders Share, Inc. Your use of the services available via www.riders-share.com shall be subject to Riders Share’s terms of service located at https://www.riders-share.com/help/terms-of-service.

If a purchase exceeds the redeemer’s Gift Card and travel credit balance, the remaining amount must be paid with another payment method in the purchaser’s account.

If you need to cancel a booking paid in full or in part by gift card or travel credit or the combination of gift card credit and credit/debit card payment, the travel credit will be refunded back to your Credits on Riders Share. Gift cards or travel credits are not eligible for any promotional bonus or monetary refunds.

Limitations

Gift Cards may only be applied to new bookings and at the time of the initial booking request. Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards or refunded as cash, except where required by applicable state law. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value or redeemed for cash. Unused Gift Card balances in a Riders Share account may not be transferred to another user account on the Riders Share platform. 

Risk of Loss

While we implement reasonable security measures, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your gift card number and PIN (if applicable). We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards or unauthorized use, except as required by applicable law.

Fraud

Riders Share reserves the right to any remedy, including refusal to issue or honor a Riders Share Gift Card in the event of suspected fraud. We reserve the right to close customer accounts, void gift card balances, and seek alternative forms of payment if we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that a Gift Card was fraudulently obtained or used to make purchases on Riders-Share.com. We will provide notice to affected users of such actions as required by applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THIS AGREEMENT OR AS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO GIFT CARDS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN THE EVENT A GIFT CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH GIFT CARD. CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
